Senior Vice President, Laura R. Jaramillo is the Southwest Region Community Development Manager in Government and Community Relations at Wells Fargo & Company. Jaramillo is responsible for supporting the economic development, housing, workforce development and small business needs of low- to moderate-income communities, by connecting the community with the right products and services. Jaramillo manages a community development team across a region covering Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico and Southern Arizona.

Prior to her current role, Jaramillo was an SBA/Credit Enhanced Lender for over 10 years at Chase Bank, and also held positions in Real Estate, Small Business and the International Public Sector at Texas Commerce Bank and Ameriway Savings Association.

Jaramillo has a strong commitment to her community as evidenced by her extensive board service and volunteerism. She serves as the Chair of Houston’s Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), as a board member of the Texas Council on Economic Education, Texas Mezzanine Fund, and the Association for the Advancedment of Mexican Americans. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the Houston Holocaust Museum and Recipe for Success.

Jaramillo has been active with various City programs, was appointed Board Chair of the Houston Housing Authority, by Mayer Bill White and as an advisor to the Housing and Community Development Department. She cochairs the Houston Housing Coalition, and is on the Executive Committee of the Texas Foreclosure Prevention Task Force.

She is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum and the Center for Houston’s Future where she has served on various committees including the Community Future Awareness Committee, and an 18 month Scenario Planning Project for the Greater Houston Region.

Jaramillo has a Journalism degree from Sam Houston State University. She and her husband live in Pearland, Texas.
