Anne Cleary recently retired in 2014, after a thirty plus year career in the electricity industry. During her career, Ms. Cleary served in numerous roles throughout the United States and overseas, culminating as Executive Vice President and Chief Integration Officer of NRG. In this capacity, Ms. Cleary led all aspects of NRG’s acquisition of GenOn Energy, creating one of the Country’s largest power generation and retail electricity companies in the U.S. A Fortune 250 company, NRG creates value through reliable and efficient conventional generation while driving innovation in solar and renewable power, electric vehicle ecosystems, carbon capture technology and customer-centric energy solutions.

Prior to NRG, Ms. Cleary served as GenOn’s Senior Vice President of Asset Management where she was responsible for coordinating business strategy and pursuing new business opportunities for the company. Prior to this role, she served in a similar capacity at Mirant and was part of the management team that led the integration of Mirant with RRI Energy to form GenOn Energy.

At Mirant, Ms. Cleary served in a variety of positions at Mirant, including Senior Vice President of Administration, Vice President and Chief Risk Officer and President of President of the West/Mid-Continent/South business unit. Ms. Cleary began her career as an engineer with Southern Company and rose through the ranks to Vice President of Business Development.

She serves on the Auburn University Engineering Council, the Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisory Board and the Houston Area Auburn Capital Campaign committee. Ms. Cleary received the 2013 Outstanding Engineer and the 2010 Outstanding Alumna Award from Auburn University College of Engineering. She is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.

Ms. Cleary holds a master’s of business administration in finance and a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Auburn University.
