Myrtle Jones is Halliburton’s Senior Vice President of Tax based in Houston, Texas. She is responsible for managing the Company’s global tax affairs in over 80 countries. In addition to her tax management responsibilities she serves as the Executive Sponsor of Halliburton’s African American Network Forum, an executive advisory board member of their Women’s Sharing Excellence affinity group and chairs the Finance Department’s Mentoring Committee. Prior to joining Halliburton Ms. Jones served in the roles of Sr. Managing Director of Tax and Internal Audit at Service Corporation International and Vice President Tax at GlobalSantaFe.

Ms. Jones holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Mississippi State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas, and is a member of Tax Executives Institute. A native of Heidelberg Mississippi, she is the proud mother of three children Allie, Candice and Nate and is involved in the community where she is strongly committed to providing assistance and opportunities to children from economically disadvantaged communities in the greater Houston area. She serves on the board of Genesys Works Houston and Prairie View University’s School of Business Dean’s Advisory Board.

A frequent public speaker on topics covering corporate income taxation and diversity in the work place she is the recipient of numerous awards including Black Enterprise Magazine’s 50 Most Powerful Women in Corporate America, The Diversity Council’s Diversity Leader of the Year of Award, Diversity Journal’s Women Worth Watching Award and the Houston Business Journals Top 25 Women in Oil and Gas.
