Vandi Theriot Vandi Theriot joined TDECU in 2010 as Director of Human Resources, and quickly rose in the ranks earning a position as Vice President, Talent Services in 2012. With over 700 Employees under the care of her team, Vandi leads human resources efforts for the $3 billion credit union. Primary among her responsibilities includes leading business-aligned talent strategies, enterprise workforce planning and talent portfolio management. Her current focus is supporting the evolution of the TDECU culture and workforce to deliver a digital first service model centered on improving lives and a seamless employee and member experience.

As a child of parents in the oil and gas industry, Vandi’s childhood was filled with frequent moves to all parts of the world, ensuring she learned to embrace change at a very young age. Her experiences in foreign lands learning from those speaking their native language, gave her a keen understanding of the power of learning, through listening. These life lessons have fueled her passion towards empowering an adaptive and open culture.

Vandi is an active leader in the business community, holding a position on the Board of Directors for the National Diversity Association. She has also been privileged to hold positions as Board President for the Bay Area HR Management Association Chapter of SHRM, and as Board Advisor for the University of Houston Bauer School of Business.

Vandi holds a Senior Professional Human Resources certification, and is certified in Basic Mediation, and Strategic Workforce Planning and as a Gallup Strengths Coach. Her formal education includes earning a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Texas Tech University, and a Master of Arts in industrial psychology from the University of Houston, Clear Lake.
