Elizabeth JonesElizabeth Jones is Vice President, Operations, Peri-Operative Services for Catholic Health Initiatives St. Luke’s Health Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. The St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System was acquired by Catholic Health Initiatives June of 2013 and St. Luke’s Hospital in the Texas Medical Center became a Joint Venture with Baylor College of Medicine January of 2014. Elizabeth has been instrumental in the transition of ownership and the Joint Venture initiatives. Since December of 2015, she oversees the Operating Rooms, endoscopy suites and all peri-operative support services for the medical center. Previously, she led the patient care support services (respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, pathology and others) along with security, emergency preparedness and several other hospital departments. With over 25 years of healthcare experience, she provides strong expertise in patient care and hospital operations.

Prior to joining Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, Elizabeth was with the Memorial Hermann Health System for six years. Her most recent role was Director of Operations for Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center. There, she was responsible for the Operating Rooms and their support departments as well as overseeing hospital security, facilities management, service lines and food and nutritional services. During her six years with MHHS, she capitalized on the opportunities to continuously grow her career and experience through progressively increased levels of responsibility. She sat on multiple system committees and was part of the system Neuroscience Service Line where she assisted four MHHS hospitals grow their neuroscience service lines.

From 2000 through 2005, Elizabeth worked for Medtronic, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of medical devices. She had various roles with the spine division of Medtronic. She spent several years traveling to promote and develop spinal implant products for Medtronic. Prior to joining Medtronic, Elizabeth was a practicing RN in the operating rooms for over ten years. She has experience in neurosurgery, general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, ENT, cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery as well as having six years of experience in Level 1 trauma nursing at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

Elizabeth Jones holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Operations Management, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, outdoor sports and attending professional sporting events.
