Qiara Suggs is the Human Resources Director at Memorial Hermann Health System- Southwest and Sugar Land Campus. Qiara has 13 years of Human Resources Experience and has served the Memorial Hermann Health System for over a decade in several HR roles at the Texas Medical Center, Children’s Hospital, Ambulatory Services, and MHMG. She holds a MBA from Texas Woman’s University and both Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) and Society for Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certifications. While supporting Sugar Land, Qiara has played a key role as a Strategy Champion in Sugar Land’s achievement of the Texas Award for Performance Excellence and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. In addition, she has been a key partner in supporting the hospital’s $93M expansion through various workforce planning efforts, retention and engagement initiatives. As a Strategy Champion, she is leading the People Excellence Strategy Council for the Sugar Land campus and continues to play a solid role in driving the Campus and System overall strategies. Qiara is a very active member in several professional HR organizations and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and has earned an excellent reputation as a creditable business partner with her clients and HR teammates alike.
